Abstract

As the private banking industry changes, effective credit management is critical in minimizing risk and meeting regulatory requirements. This article describes a case study about enhancing the eOASIS platform for Citigroup's Private Bank Credit Services & Control (CSC) unit in Asia-Pacific. The eOASIS application provides users with a single location from which to access collateral monitoring reports, credit approvals, and management information system (MIS) reporting. This paper discusses how new features (Loan Value Module and Cash Equity Module) were added to the eOASIS application, as well as how a new flow was created for Credit Line Maintenance (CLM). The paper also describes the extensive testing methods that were used, as well as how we deployed both in non-production and production environments and what technical issues were encountered during the project. The end result was improved accuracy of data, streamlined credit processes, and greater efficiency of operations for the CSC Unit. In addition, the architectural approach and the methodologies for integration test cases documented in this paper provide useful models for similar projects within the financial-services industry.
